ERABELLE'S FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

GENERAL Q&A - COSMETIC ARTISTRY

ERABROWLOGY

Erabrowlogy is ideal for individuals

  • with sparse or uneven eyebrows.
  • who do not know how to draw their eyebrows.
  • who are busy and active and wish to look good even during and after exercising.
  • who are allergic to conventional make-up.

Each Erabrowlogy colour service takes approximately 90 mins to complete.

Yes, it is safe as cosmetic artistry is only done on the epidermis and top dermis layer and there is minimal or no bleeding at all. Hence, it is very unlikely that any ingredient of the eyebrow pencil to enter the blood stream.

The colour settling process takes a shorter period of 5-7 days and besides the above-mentioned points, you are also advised to:

  • Keep the area dry at all times on the 1st day.
  • Use the after-care kit provided for brow maintenance.
  • Do not apply any other product (e.g. brow gel) on the brows.
  • Refrain from scratching or peeling the area.
  • Avoid swimming, sauna and sun-tanning and dusty environment.

ERALINER

Using German handheld micropen, colour is embedded into the epidermis and top dermis layer of the skin to create the look of filled-in brows, lashline or lips, using our Soft Shading technique.

Soft Shading creates a natural filled-in look for your eyebrows/eyeliner/lips so you can look polished and confident anytime, anywhere. We believe this method gives consistent results and is less harsh on most Asian features.

We practise strict hygiene standards and a new sterile micropen tip is used for every customer. You can ask your artist to show you the newly opened pack.

Additionally, every tip comes with colour backflow protector to prevent any back-flowing of colours to the machine. The handheld micropen is also equipped with colour backflow protection. Hence, there will not be any contamination.

All colours exceed the safety standards of the European Cosmetic Directive and/or compliant with German rules for permanent makeup and tattoo. Our micro-colours used for cosmetic artistry are certified to be dermatological-safe, allergological-safe, microbiological-safe and toxicological-safe. Prior to the colour service, colour is dispensed into a pigment tray. Any leftover colour will then be discarded.

Topical anaesthetic will be applied to numb the area before the colour service. The intensity of pain is dependent on the individual's threshold for pain. Most of our customers liken the pain experienced to that of an ant's bite while others find the process entirely painless.

There will be minimal swelling initially but the swelling normally subsides within 1-2 hours for Erabrowlogy and 24 hours for Eralip/Eraliner.

Cosmetic artistry only embeds colour into the epidermis and top dermis layer of skin, using organic or mineral pigments which will be metabolised by the body over time, which results in natural fading over time.

Tattoo embeds pigments deeper into the dermis layer, where colour will stay for a longer period of time.

Most people will experience the slow fading of dark brown to light brown. However, due to differences in individual’s skin condition and metabolism, some individuals may experience residual light reddish or greyish tint. Regular touch-up is recommended to reduce this occurrence.

After the 1st colour service, the colour may be uneven. Please come back for the 2nd colour service within 6-8 weeks after the 1stcolour service (for Erabrowlogy & Eraliner).

Generally, with an entire course of 2-4 colour services, the colour will last you 2-3 years from the day you commence the 1st colour service. Thereafter, refresher touch-up packages can be purchased to restore the intensity of the colour.

Yes, you may do so but only after the complete healing and settling of colours, which may take 7-10 days.

No. Initially the colour may appear darker but not to worry, it is only temporary.
In general, the colour intensity will be reduced by approximately 25-50% naturally after the process. Colour retention varies amongst individuals, as it is dependent on the intensity and type of colour used, skin type as well as the maintenance. At Erabelle, we aim to do Erabrowlogy/ Eraliner/ Eralip that looks natural and polished, enhancing your features.

All artists are required to successfully complete a series of courses that include training on colour theory, technique, features identification and sanitisation, followed by experience in hands-on clinic sessions. They also perform cosmetic artistry only after a year of practise doing Erabrow design.

All of our artists, regardless of regular or Master, underwent similar training and courses on colour theory, technique, features identification and sanitisation, followed by hands-on clinic sessions. However, Master Artists are more experienced and have consistently displayed excellent skills, hence a surcharge for their service.

Pregnant customers will be advised to undergo cosmetic artistry services only after delivery. Customers who have diabetes, autoimmune disease(s), heart diseases and tendency to develop keloids will not be suitable. Customers with medical conditions are advised to seek professional’s advice from their doctors and also be certified “suitable for cosmetic artistry” in an official memo, prior to the service(s).

Studies have shown that it is relatively safe to use topical anaesthetics during breast feeding and topical anaesthetics have not been reported to cause problem for nursing babies. However, we recommend customers to stop breastfeeding for 24 hours after the service, as an added precaution.
